  Strieby had to read old dusty history books to write this book.  After writing 4 books about Mayor Molly McMole her ancestor Master Spy, Christopher McMole  jumped into her mind and the story took off. Not right away though, it took 4 years of research, fantasy based on fact,  She made the Revolution and George Washington and Mr,. Billy Lee people we can relate to.  Besides learning about the Revolution  there is a game you can play--how many owls can you find. 42 illustrations and she believes there are  13 owls, can you find all 13?                                                                                                                                       These soldiers captured Master Spy John Anderson/Andre who had plans in his sock to execute Commander  George Washington,  Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Hamilton, and Warrant Officer Me Bill Lee  at Fort West  Point. These soldiers were Private David Williams,  Private John Paulding, and Private  Isaac Van Wart.  John Anderson/Andre was executed a few weeks later.   One of my favorite adventures is when Mayor Molly McMole arranged a trip to Rome, in all roads lead to Rome.  She rented a Harley and a little cart so our tribe could visit Rome and Florence.  We visited the Uffizi Museum in Florence.   The kiddos will learn about Michelangelo and Botticelli, and meet some of the mole tribe, and the villain, of course--some famous landmarks too!   THIS WAS A SAD DAY This was the 1994 earthquake in Northridge, Ca.  One of my daughters was staying near the epicenter and her apartment was actually tilting and she lived on the top floor.  No lights but she managed to get down the steps, get into her car and drive to our home, 7 miles away.  We had little structural damage but we were up to our knees in fallen things from the walls and bookcases, the refrigerator slid across the kitchen--so many things--no electricity, no radio.  Thank God we were not injured but I still pray for the people who lost their lives, were wounded, and the loved ones left behind.  This happened many years ago but I still have this painting I dlid of "picking up the pieces" and it reminds me of this sad day.
