Why Is a Spy Called a Mole--Special Thanks to These Soldiers Paulding, Williams, and Van Wart

These soldiers captured Master Spy John Anderson/Andre who had plans in his sock to execute Commander  George Washington,  Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Hamilton, and Warrant Officer Me Bill Lee  at Fort West  Point. These soldiers were Private David Williams,  Private John Paulding, and Private  Isaac Van Wart.  John Anderson/Andre was executed a few weeks later.

Did you learn this in school?  What would have been the consequences if this man had not been apprehended?  "In God we trust. "  Our Country was meant to be--the Republic, the United States of America.

Just wondering?  Have they been awarded a medal?
